Not Your Mom’s One-Piece Swimsuit
Summer is here! Living in beautiful sunny San Diego typically means that my family and I head to the pool or the beach. But for some reason, that usually comes with a level of anxiety for me. Every year I vow to get in shape for the summer and be beach body ready. However, every year I never seem to attain the tight buns and rock hard abs that I hoped for. It’s a lot harder for me especially after having my three babies. Unfortunately, with being so petite my babies had nowhere else to go, but out! I felt like I stretched out like a balloon! Then imagine how a ballon looks when it deflates. 🙁
This was me a few weeks before I gave birth to my third child, Elijah. He weighed 8lbs 3oz., which was huge for me!
Needless to say, my mid section is not as smooth and tight as it used to be, pre-pregnancy… which has become an insecurity of mine. I’ve come to the realization that bikinis were no longer an option for me. Honestly, I’m okay with that now. With all of the cute and trendy one-piece suits out there these days, I can still look good and feel sexy wearing a one-piece. They are definitely not the frumpy, non-flattering one-piece suits my mom used to wear. Sorry mom! There is actually a wide selection of styles out there to choose from.
I’ve linked some of my favorite one-piece suits from Shein.com.
I love the variety of prints, the cut out styles, and shoulder variations that these suits have to offer. Best part is most of them are under $20.
Target also has a selection of one-piece suits that are cute and flattering.
So, you see, there is still hope for us moms who still want to look cute and stylish in a suit, but still want to hide the effects of pregnancy, like I do. Check out this super cute, off the shoulder, one piece I order on pickettpretty.shop. I love how this suit can also serve as a cute top. I can easily put on some shorts or jeans and wear it anywhere.
I hope you all have a fabulous summer splashing around! Thanks for stopping by! xo
